Seiko Heritage
The Story of Seiko all started in 1881, when a young entrepreneur named, Kintaro Hattori opened a shop selling and repairing watches and clocks in the heart of Tokyo.
11 years later Kintaro purchased a factory where he would then go on to produce his first clock. The factory was named ‘Seikosha’. The definition of ‘Seiko’ in Japanese means exquisite, minute or success and the meaning of ‘Sha’ is house; a comfortable fit for came for them in the years to come.
