Seiko Prospex Monster PADI Special Edition Diver

$695.00 CAD

This Monster PADI Special Edition is a dive watch made in collaboration with the Professional Association of Diving Instructors and it seems it’s the first time they chose a proper watch to hold that distinction. The Seiko Monster is a name devised by collectors and not by the manufacturer; it’s so named for the model's unique case shape and grooved edges, resembling teeth.

Seiko Prospex challenges every limit, with a collection of timepieces for sports lovers and adventure seekers whether in the water, in the sky or on land. Since launching Japan’s first diver’s watch in 1965, Seiko’s innovative technology has changed global standards. We are constantly striving to bring ever greater reliability and safety to both professional and recreational divers.

The Story of Seiko all started in 1881, when a young entrepreneur named, Kintaro Hattori opened a shop selling and repairing watches and clocks in the heart of Tokyo.
11 years later Kintaro purchased a factory where he would then go on to produce his first clock. The factory was named ‘Seikosha’. The definition of ‘Seiko’ in Japanese means exquisite, minute or success and the meaning of ‘Sha’ is house; a comfortable fit for came for them in the years to come.
